It’s about time I do a fashion drawing course for you guys!
I’ve been thinking about it for some time but had my hands full with pattern designing and painting. Everything requires preparation and ideas organizing so I waited for things to settle before making this announcement.
Fashion drawing is a simple art compared to fine and digital art. Once you learn figure drawing, it’ll be easy for you to draw your fashion figure without using any reference photo. That’s exactly what I do. I may look for inspiration through reference photos but I work from imagination as much as I can to develop my skills further.
Your painting medium is completely your choice. You can use copic markers, watercolors, acrylics, or colored pencils. There is no limit to the options you have. Whatever you choose, paint simply to avoid creating layers paints. This way, even your lineart may disappear with all of the paint layers. So use your paints wisely while your lineart can still be seen.
In this course, I’ll show you my way of drawing a fashion figure with different poses, design our own clothes, and paint each figure separately. Presentation is everything when it comes to fashion drawing. So it’s fun to treat this project as a real fashion design project. You’ll learn the skills you need and tips about fashion designing too in this course. We can have a live or zoom meeting later for your Q&A if you have any question.
